The Eagle’s Eye is similar to the Eye in the Sky design except I used a SLR camera in a 4” rocket. Eagle’s Eye used the Konica FS1 camera. The camera was just small enough for the body to fit into a 4” tube without the lens attached. So the camera was loaded by removing the lens and installing the camera body, then re-installing the lens from outside the rocket.

This rocket made a few flights taking excellent pictures but the danger of damage to the camera or lens limited its career.
