Silver Bullet

The Silver Bullet is very similar to the Eye in the Sky design except I changed the name because of the very bright silver coating on the Pentax UC-1. The camera has good features and I had very high hopes for it. It was the first 35 mm camera that I found that could fit into the 2.63” body tube.

However, on its first flight the camera fell from the payload section at separation and crashed from about 1500 feet. The camera still survived without any protection. I added more material to the payload section for the friction fit and tried it again. The camera fell out again at separation. It didn’t survive the second crash landing.
